Aranyam Environment and Wildlife Film Festival 2010      

 

 PURPOSE

 

To promote conservation of nature and public appreciation of biodiversity through the power of Visual imagery.

 
  • Promote excellence in the films from which many first learn about nature.
  • Inspire greater interest in Earth's living riches.
  • Illustrate the wonders of our natural world.
  • Educate about the threats facing our planet's biodiversity.
  • Encourage enthusiasm for nature.

 ENTRY REQUIREMENTS             

  1. Entry is free.             
  2. Entries must have been completed on or before September 15th , 2009 and the central focus must be on aspects of nature and wildlife, environmental and conservation issues, or nature and people.  

  3.   Entry should be made on DVD PAL. Only in exceptional circumstances, we also accept DVD NTFS or DV Tapes

  4. Please include with the completed Entry Form:    Digital Copies of the following in  (CD or DVD)
  
  •  Synopsis of the Film
  •  Trailor
  •  Director’s Bio
  •   Still photographs (digital preferred) from each production for promotion of the Film

Shipping costs, customs and insurance fees are to be paid by entrants. The Festival organizer is not responsible for damage or loss of entries during the shipment.             

 

PUBLICITY AND PROMOTION              

 
  • Entrants automatically grant consent for up to three minutes of each production submitted (In the absence of any trailer) to be made available, free of charge for a promotional tape of the Festival, its web site, for broadcast media, and for use in any reasonable way connected with the promotion of the Festival both at the time of the event and the months following.
  • Entrants automatically grant consent for ‘Aranyam’ to use information on the entry form and accompanying photos in Festival publications and on its web site. They may be used for news information material for TV, print media and others.    
   

 Entries will not be returned. They will be retained in the film library by the Festival organizer. If you would like to have your entry returned, it should be indicated on your entry form and the return postage enclosed.                                     

 DEADLINE FOR ENTRY REGISTRATION

 

Entry registration will be closed on September 15th, 2010.

 

JUDGING

 

            1)         Entries will be screened and judged by the Judging Committee. Entries selected by the committee will be screened at the festival.

 

SELECTED NOMINEES

 

Nominated films will be made available for free public screenings during the Festival.   

 

4)         After the Festival, all DVDs of the finalist films will be retained by the Festival organizer, and will be shown free of charge at non-profit screenings in line with the purposes of the Festival.


VALIDITY

 

The submission of an entry registration for the Festival implies full acceptance of these rules. Should any matter come into dispute, it will be settled amicably.
