The rate at which the natural wealth is being plundered today is having serious repercussions. Today in the name of development the forests and wildlife are disappearing at a very fast pace. Does this have an affect on our lives?? It needs to be told to one and all. If you look at one side we are having serious water problem in the city. But do we know from where water is coming??? For us to have water, we need forests. In Kannada there is an old saying “if there is tiger in the forest, the village will get water”. Today there are very few tigers, so there is no water, as simple as that. The elephants, the tigers and the other wild animals today are slowly dwindling in numbers and soon will become extinct. Man’s greed for more has resulted in extinction of other species. What better time to address the seriousness of this issue than the wildlife week. |
