Acoustic Traditional and Camapigns Galore Network, Hyderabad will be launching a joint initiative this August (16th and 17th, 2008). The event will be promoted as EARTHWORKS, Involving Aranyam, a Bangalore based non-profit organisation working on environmental awareness through films and St. Mary's College, Hyderabad are also being involved (resource partners) as key organisations contributing to the overall workshop series. The initiative is an outcome of a three month study on communication methods in use towards the promotion of environmental issues. Workshop list: Filmmaking / Traditional storytelling / Print speak / Infommercials / Animation with junk / Starting a Climate project / Starting a School press / Creative writing / Photography / Traditional craft / Organising a creative event / World wide web Registration fee: Rs. 500 per workshop (inclusive of a workshop kit and merchandise). Please note that all film screenings are for free. This is because the event is also a platform for other groups/ organisations to interact with school and college students. The registration fee is only to cover the basic costs of production. The film show is being hosted by Aranyam, Bangalore.
